History
Several years ago my wife and I started a business to distribute nutritional ingredients to the human and animal food manufacturing industry and ENRECO was one of our major suppliers. We began by offering quality nutritional ingredients from ENRECO®, Inc. (manufacturer of Omega Fields Health products) to food companies like Natural Ovens, Manitowoc, WI. (www.naturalovens.com -- we think their bakery makes the best bread on earth --- breads, bagels, granola, and my favorite...the world's best raspberry chocolate chip cookies) as well as petfood and equine product manufacturers.
As our business grew, we became the largest client of ENRECO (Essential Nutrient Research Corporation). As the understanding, acceptance and demand for Omega-3 rich ingredients expanded, we decided that the time was right to jump in and purchase ENRECO, Inc.. Like many small business owners, our experience has been a mixture of exhilaration, optimism and fear.
One of the factors that made our decision to purchase ENRECO easier was that ENRECO’s stabilized ground flax seed
had been involved in long-term research with Dr. Wendy DeMark-Wahnefried and Duke University (specifically clinical and
laboratory studies concerning prostate cancer). Click here to see summary
of positive results listed in a 2002 article reprinted from FoodUSA’s website – along with a 2007 article taken
from MedScape, concerning their latest 4-year prostate cancer research project which ended in 2006. We were also
impressed with the plethora of impressive scientific studies done with flax seed and Omega-3 -- with results showing Omega-3
fatty acids improve the heart, the brain, and prevent inflammatory diseases.
At that time, ENRECO’s products included several uniquely formulated stabilized ground flax seed supplements including one for people called Mega Omega® -- made with stabilized ground flax, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. We read the reviews from satisfied customers and could see that Mega Omega® was a remarkable product. But this sleeper product was not reaching as wide an audience as we knew it could.
We began to increase Mega Omega’s visibility by developing an online based distribution process called Omega Fields Health – along with a retail dealer program. We have since made significant improvements to these systems and have been excited to watch the growth of Omega Fields Health.
Recently, we have worked hard to offer new products for you and your family such as Simply Omega-3, just the stabilized ground fortified flax; OMAX-3, fish oil capsules; Delicious Greens 8000; Perfect Purples; Perfect Multi Super Greens Vitamins; Ultimate HA Joint Formula; and four delicious varieties of Omega Smart Bars formulated with organic stabilized ground flax -- with more to come!

Introducing roy pIrRUNg
 The first thing you may notice is the way Roy spells his name. It is a true indication of what he does and who he is. In 1989, he was the first athlete to use Mega Omega® and, like his running, once he started he never stopped.
Over the past three decades, his accomplishments are nothing short of remarkable. He has broken over 60 open and age group American records and amassed 60 national championship titles. In 1997 USA Track & Field honored him with the Ted Corbitt Award as the top ultra marathon runner of the year. In 2001 he was installed in USATFs Masters Hall of Fame. Along the way, USATF also named him Masters Runner of the Year three times, including the past two years.
Roy is the epitome of health and endurance. He has started and finished EVERY race but one, with over 820 to date, including 88 marathons and 143 ultra marathons—races ranging from 31 miles to 400 miles.
In 2008, he broke 4 American 60-64 age group records by surpassing marks at 12-hours, 100-kilometers, 100-miles and 24-hours.
He earned his first world record at the 2008 24-hour world championships. Competing in the 60-64 age-group, he completed 133+ miles in Seoul, South Korea as a scoring member of the USA 24-hour run national team. That performance earned him Ultra Running magazine’s Top Age Group Performance of the Year.
Over the past 20 years he has also written a running club newsletter, been a contributor to others and has been a freelance writer and a weekly newspaper columnist. In January of 2009, he was named National Spokesperson for Omega Fields Health. In that capacity Roy will represent Omega Fields Health at racing event expos and will speak to groups interested in better health through exercise and nutrition.
